Becky passed away on wednesday 17th January 2007 aged 10, she lived in Bristol with her mum and dad and big sister Aimee aged 11.
Becky was diagnosed with a brain tumour called a medulloblastoma on the 10/06/06 after 75 % of the tumour was removed she developed a severe posterior foss syndrome afterwards and over the following months had gradually resolving neurological funtion.
Following several operations Becky had chemo, radiotherapy and more chemo, her latest course of cemo was commenced on the 2nd January 2007. Becky was admitted to hospital on Thursday 11th January with febrile neutropaenia, her condition got worse over the next few days and on Saturday 13th Becky was move to picu and put into a medically induced coma, despite maximum inotropic and renal support Becky continued to deteriorate after several discussions with us and the medical team and given the futility of further treatment support was withdrawn and her life support machine was turned off at 11.00 on the 17th January 2007 Becky passed away very rapidly and peacefully in my arms and we lost our beautiful daughter at 11.20.
Becky was a loving child who wore her heart on her sleeve, she had many friends and was a popular child at school, known for her caring outlook and lovely smile, sometimes stuburn but always forgiving.
Becky enjoyed many holidays with her family and would always love to dance at every opportunity,
Her sense of humour would often have all around laughing with tears in there eyes.
We have to live on with our memories of Becky, there is a massive hole in our hearts and this will never be filled.
Life will never be the same those memories you have left will stay with us forever, I see your smiling face everyday
Her bravery and courage shown whilst fighting her illness was an insperation to all that knew Becky and has given us the strength to carry on.

Becky was our friend
she sparkled
Becky loved a good giggle
her laughter filled the room,
classes didn't get in the way of a good natter,
she always had a joke to share or a story to tell,
she was always ready for a challenge,
her determination shone through.
her caring nature brightened up our day !.
A fund was set up in Becky's memory and donations were passed to Bristol Childrens Hospital, the final sum received was £4605.69.
The money has been used to purchase 6 reclining chairs and 6 fans for the ongology unit ward 35, a postural control seat for the physiotherapy dept and a single donation of £550.00 to the ongology play team.
Also a specialist wheel chair was purchase for the childrens ward a Bristol Frenchay hospital.

Five years ago we lost our beautiful daughter and sister Becky, who fought so bravely against her illness our shinning star so deeply missed today and every day.
Me Mum and Aimee have so many wonderful memories and pictures of you, your younger sister Abbie asks about you and we know Jack will as he gets older.
Becky you take care my love until I can hold you once again.

A little favour?
Firstly, let me wish you a happy 2012! Mainly because 2011 is over and also because if the world does end I'm december then I'll be seeing you shortly! ;) But on a more serious note, sorry for not writing on here as often as I should, I'm sure you've heard all the excuses before so I won't bore you with them now...just know Im sorry! Hope your doing good up there, and that the wind that's breaking umbrellas down here isn't blowing open heavens gates up there! Now for that little favour I mentioned in the title...Sadly Josies friend passed away a few days ago. He fought a very long and hard battle with cancer on ward 35 too. So I guess thats two things you both have in common!
So I was just hoping you'd perhaps keep him company up there, offer a friend face, not that I'd expect anything less form you of corse! :L I never had the honour to Meet Luke (Luke Bradwell) but from knowing you and hearing things about him, you two probably have a alot more in common than the things I earlier mentioned. I've heard he's was a strong and smiley boy, not unlike yourself, and your both the same age and I would like to be able to assure Josie that Luke is safe in the company a bubbly and giggly girl such as yourself! I know I can count on you for this, your too kind to leave anyone out in the cold! So thanks, and as always, your always in my thoughts and dreams. Sleep tight beautiful. Love you the moon and back. I know I haven't wrote on here in a while but I just couldn't face it on your birthday. There isn't a day goes by that I don't think about you, whether its about how you're doing or the memories I have. Some make my throat dry, by thinking of how much I miss you but more make me happy by thinking of how much of a wonderful girl you are and thinking of your gorgeous smile! I know you're looking out for everyone just like you always did. 16 this year and then you would of been leaving school and theres no doubt in my mind that you would make everyone so proud with your exam results and your determination for your future. And you will be all I will be thinking of, because it will make me do the best of my ability. I owe it to you sweetie. Sending my love and thoughts go to Mark, Dawn, Aimee, Jack and Abbie. Words cannot explain the sadness and pain we feel everyday, we wish we could all be together not only on your special day but everyday. life has been so unfair it has taken such a kind young child our daughter and also robbed Becky of her life.
And no one can tell us why.

you'll never gues wat?! my friend bought a braclet/anklet for me to remind me of you, cuz ages ago i bought a butterfly broche because for some reason they remind me of you and i lost it in school cuz it was on my bag and i culdnt stop crying so tasha seldon made me a bracelet/anklet with butterflys on it, is soooo nice i cryed wiv happiness when she give it to me! i will keep it on me for ever it will never leave me and then when you cum and visit me i will show you or when i cum to you in a rocket i will show you :) i really miss you becky!
